Zubin Surkari

Cricket Canada Development Officer

 

Having played cricket for Canada at the national level at both senior and junior levels since 1996, Zubin has experienced the game from a range of different angles: a high performance player and coach, an entry level/introductory coach, an administrator driving participation growth and player development. Zubin has a passion for developing the game within Canada's unique market, especially in driving strong, sustainable grassroots programs throughout communities. 

 

Education & Experience:

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Management (Royal Holloway- University of London)

  • Cricket Australia (ICC) Accredited Level 2 High Performance Coach

  • Experienced Coach Education Learning Facilitator through the NCCP (National Coaching Certificate Program) 

  • Former Captain and Canadian National Player 1996-2012 

  • Represented Canada at 2011 World Cup, India

 

Errol Barrow

Cricket Canada Community Coach

 
An excellent cricketer in his day, representing Canada over a number of years, he was also captain of Barbados U19s. Errol has coached teams at a high performance level and now enjoys putting his skills to work encouraging young Canadians to take up the game within the Cricket Canada Kids Program as a Community Coach.

Oswald Jones

Cricket Canada Community Coach - West Region

 

As a community coach, Oswald visits numerous elementary and middle schools to introduce the cricket and train teachers on their delivery of the game. He also volunteers his time to assist junior and senior team at Bramalea Secondary School with great success in the ROPSAA championship and assisted schools in the Toronto District School Board in leading their grade four and five students to win the championship in the TDESSA finals.

 

Oswald's energy and passion for mentoring, encouraging and motivating children not just for the game but also for their academic, social and development needs is fantastic. He builds strong relationships with stakeholders that has helped to sustain the growth of cricket within schools and communities that he visits.

Eshaun Dass

Cricket Canada Community Coach - North Region

 

Eshaun is an energetic, enthusiastic coach who is well organized and loves to have fun with the kids he works with. As a product of the Cricket system in Ontario, Eshaun can provide insight into development options for cricket in Canada and enjoys working to improve grassroots programs for all cricketers.

Dhruv Barot

Cricket Canada Community Coach - South/West Region

 

Dhruv is a passionate and enthusiastic coach who is easy to work with. He has an ambition to growing the sport in the country.  Having worked in numerous different roles within the organization he has a very good understanding of both the on-field cricketing action and off-field planning which is required to deliver a fantastic program to the kids, with an objective of transforming them to be a lifelong cricketer.
